Yes. Members may apply for an upgrade at any time once they meet the eligibility criteria for a higher grade. IAMP encourages professional progression and advancement through the grades.

Typically 2–4 weeks, depending on the completeness of submitted documents and the grade applied for. Fellow grade may take slightly longer due to professional assessment.

IAMP accepts all major credit/debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfer. Annual subscriptions can be paid upfront for maximum savings.

Membership fees are generally non-refundable once the application has been processed and portal access granted. Please contact [email protected] for exceptional cases.

Fellow (FIAMP) is the highest honorary distinction, requiring 8+ years in senior maritime leadership. It is an honorary grade — portal access is limited to Dashboard and Profile. Full Member (FMIAMP) is the active professional grade with broader portal access, requiring 5+ years experience and recognized certification.

In many countries, professional association membership fees are tax deductible as a professional expense. HMRC (UK) and many other tax authorities allow this. Please check with your local tax office for confirmation.
